Great Christmas Gift
A great gift for the children in your life for sure! However, all ages can enjoy these CDs, they aren't just for preschool children.
Knowing Nursery Rhymes Creates Better Readers
"Reading and memorizing nursery rhymes will increase the ability of your child to read early." Ron Guymon, Ph.D.
" I can't stress enough how important it is to teach your children nursery rhymes. It is the rhythm that really helps them learn to read. After a whole year of working with my students, 15 out of 60 of my kindergarten kids still could not read by the end of the year. I attribute this to the fact that most of my students did not know a single fairy tale or nursery rhyme. I am so impressed with SammyTells' nursery rhyme CD because Sam recites them and then sings them to different genres of music. His dramatic readings of the fairy tales are really good at showing the use of rhythm as well. What a fun and interesting way to teach your children such a valuable tool for reading. I purchased 3 sets of Sam's CDs; one for each of my grandchildren and one to use in my kindergarten classroom. I am telling all the kindergarten teachers I know about SammyTells." Mrs. Clea Comte, Kindergarten Teacher

Makes me feel good!
So tonight I came home from the movies with my brother in-law and I heard someone talking, I thought it was a movie so I went up to see what movie the kids were watching and that's when I saw it, my nephew fast asleep on the floor next to a cd player with The Fisherman and His Wife playing (from The Brothers Grimm cd). That really made me feel good to see the cd in action. I went down to my sister and told her what I saw and she explained to me how she had tried to get my nephew to just listen to music but he insisted that he listen to the "sammy ones". :) It feels good to know that kids really do enjoy these.(if you can see it, the cd player is above the pillow and below the lamp. The cd case is open just to the left of him at the bottom of the picture)
My best friends Mom told me how her youngest listens to my cds every night before bed and that she loves them.
On my facebook group for SammyTells a nice mom, Rachel Swenson (Boise, ID) told me her story, "Today, Noah, age 5, sat in his room for an hour lying in a blanket next to his stereo, listening to your story telling CDs. He loves them! Nice work!"

Here are the pictures that were colored at the booth from the Princess Festival. I am sad to say that on the last day when the storm blew our tent over we lost some of the pictures... :( so if your picture isn't posted I'm sorry. I hope you can find comfort in the fact that the paper is biodegradable.
Also, this paper was too big for the scanner, so some of the pictures are cropped funny, I tried to get all I could though. Sadly some of the pictures weren't drawn dark enough to show up when it was scanned, I put them up anyway though. I was thinking they could possibly be darkened on photo shop if you pull them off the blog.

Princess Festival
This week I have been at the Princess Festival in Lindon Utah with my best friend Kitty. My Mother and Kitty's little sister Amy have also come and helped. Its been really rainy a lot of the days, but the girls have been having fun saving princesses any way!
Here are pictures of Kitty and me in front of the SammyTells tent (one of the times it was actually sunny).
